Position Summary The University of Georgia (UGA) Dept. of Marine Sciences in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences seeks to hire a marine conservation biologist. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level, with an expected start date in August 1, 2020. The candidate is expected to have a focus on the science of protecting, recovering and sustainably using marine resources. Possible research areas include (but are not limited to) marine biodiversity, commercial and recreational fishing practices, quantitative assessments of marine protected areas and other management strategies, adaptation and mitigation practices for ecosystems, and the connections between policy and ocean health.
