ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the development of multi-year strategic plans for K-12 and other public-facing ocean science education and outreach activities. Assist in coordinating efforts to educate audiences in Rhode Island and worldwide, including the scientific community and decision makers, teachers and students, alumni, and public audiences on ocean science issues and GSO activities. Manage the Narragansett Bay Classroom (NBC), including planning and professional staff support for NBC including the NBC Coordinator and Outreach Scientists (generally GSO graduate students). Expand NBC reach by increasing the number of programs and options—including on-site (e.g. school classrooms), at the URI Bay Campus and/or in the field—for Rhode Island schools and youth grou
