Description We are looking for two technicians to assist in a greater sage-grouse research project with the University of Wyoming. The project study area is located in the Red Desert area of south-central Wyoming, near the town of Baggs, WY. The project is studying sage-grouse tolerance limits for free-roaming horse presence and human development . The position is expected to extend from March 30 until August 20, start and end date being somewhat flexible. Duties: • Trapping sage-grouse at night and fitting rump-mounted transmitters • Tracking sage-grouse using VHF and UHF telemetry across large distances • Performing vegetation transects and identifying shrubs and forbs • Working 10+ hour days in heat and cold • Driving a 4WD truck while pulling a small trailer and driv
