The Wyoming Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is hiring two technicians to conduct bat mist-net surveys in the Black Hills region of northern Wyoming. The research is targeted at improving our knowledge of the distribution and habitat use of female Northern Long-eared Bats (Myotis septentrionalis), which are listed as Threatened under the Endangered Species Act. Technicians will work as a team to mist net and record bats at pre-defined sites. Night work will involve captures, WNS decontamination, and evening emergence counts. During the day technicians will locate bats via radio telemetry and collect habitat data. The job will involve extensive driving and navigating in rugged and remote country, as well as hiking long distances with heavy equipment. Technicians will be required
