Employee serves as the leader and expert who, in conjunction with the Deer-Bear-Turkey Biologist, plans, oversees and implements the Wild Turkey and Ruffed Grouse Projects and provides technical expertise to the Board, The Department of Wildlife Resources employees, state/federal agencies, and citizens of Virginia. Primary areas of responsibility for this position include oversight of statewide turkey and grouse conservation, research and management programs, monitoring population trends, formulating regulations, analyzing data, planning and conducting research, preparing reports, and interacting with diverse stakeholders.
