Responsibilities As a BIOLOGIST within the PATUXENT WILDLIFE RESEARCH CENTER, some of your specific duties will include: Plans and conducts studies and investigations in the laboratory and in the field on the biological, chemical and physical process of the effects of environmental contaminants on microbial and/or algal communities associated with birds and other wildlife species and their habitats on a national scale. Develops and carries out data collection protocols that examine biological and physiological responses and analyses sampling using molecular and other biological techniques.
