Wilderness Ranger: Up to four positions are available. Volunteer Wilderness Rangers (Encounter Monitoring) backpack or horse pack to specific areas of high use in the Bridger Wilderness. There will be base camps with wall tents set up in these areas. Primary responsibilities are collecting encounter monitoring data on visitor use and impacts, providing visitor information, checking visitor permits, teaching low-impact camping and horse use skills, explaining regulations to visitors they meet on the trail, performing some trail maintenance and logout, and naturalizing campsites.   Experience in camping, backpacking, and horse packing are preferred but not required.
