We are looking for a warden for our Airds Moss reserve in Ayrshire, one of the largest unafforested blanket bogs in the south of Scotland. This is a new post and offers the successful candidate a rare opportunity to shape the future of a wonderful reserve, with the principal aim of improving the condition of the bog and adjacent floodplain habitats for the benefit of birds and other species. Airds Moss is of international importance for its blanket bog habitat and assemblage of breeding and wintering birds, supporting hen harrier, merlin, peregrine, short-eared owl and golden plover.
