Who We Are The Wilderness Society is an independent advocacy organisation supported by around 30,000 members. We campaign to protect, promote and restore wilderness and natural processes. Since 1976, we have helped to protect the Franklin River, Fraser Island, Tasmania’s Forests, James Price Point in the Kimberley and advocated for the creation of numerous World Heritage Areas. Today, we're training a new generation of volunteer campaign leaders with a national leading community organising program, while building support for effective and lasting change through our communications. The Position The National Forest Campaigner role will spearhead the creation and implementation of a new national campaign to protect Australia’s forests and reform the native forest logging industry.
