This position is within the Wildlife Resources Section Endangered Species Program. Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in statewide research, monitoring, and management for federally listed animals and WVDNR designated Species of Greatest Conservation needs. This position will work with all listed species in West Virginia, but will assume greater responsibility for aquatic taxa.

Responsibilities

  • Examples of responsibilities with regard to aquatic taxa include: planning and implementing monitoring and conservation plans for Diamond Darters; Candy Darters; Guyandotte River crayfish; Big Sandy crayfish; and Madison Cave isopod, as well as collection and interpretation of water quality information.
