Research Interns Great Hollow is currently accepting applications for two paid internships for undergraduate or graduate students who are majoring in the natural sciences and have a strong academic record and an interest in field biology. Interns will assist with our spring and summer research projects through which they will gain experience with various field techniques and data collection methods. Our research this year includes a tri-trophic, plant-insect-bird project involving caterpillar sampling, vegetation surveys, bird surveys, and bird banding, and a study of the effects of artificial lighting on bats that will involve collecting and analyzing acoustic bat data.
