This position will advocate for conservation, enhancement, restoration, and management of wildlife habitat within the region. It will also advocate for recreational use of public and state lands and review proposed land and water development projects. Major responsibilities include:
  • Prepare written correspondence representing the official Department position with respect to impacts to wildlife and recreation from proposed plans and projects.
  • Coordinate on project proposals and plans with land management agency staff.
  • Provide expertise and negotiate with project proponents, consultants, and private sector professionals to achieve the best results for wildlife and recreation.
  • Plan, implement and/or assist in habitat enhance
