Under the direction of the Wildlife Division Deputy Director, the Wildlife Division Veterinarian is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the Division Wildlife Health Program including:  field operations, policy development and implementation, wildlife health related research and training, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification compliance (including staff training and oversight), providing guidance and consultation to staff on humane animal care best practices, and other veterinarian duties as required.  Coordinates extensively with other Wildlife Health Program staff.
