Winchester City Council is looking to appoint a temporary ecologist/biodiversity officer for a 2 year contract, to help protect and enhance the wealth of international, national and locally important habitats and species within the district. We are looking for a knowledgeable, effective and enthusiastic person with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Working within the Landscape and Open Spaces team, you will provide ecological advice  and support to development management and developers on the ecological implications of proposed developments, contribute to the provision of new council housing and the maintenance of existing housing stock (including undertaking Phase 1 habitat surveys), providing advice and support to Strategic Planning and writing and implementing manage
