The role requires a confident and clear communicator with experience in engaging and working with farmers, landowners, partners, contractors, and volunteers, as well as a proven track record in practical woodland project delivery. The successful candidate will have knowledge of woodland ecology, landscape-scale conservation, Natural Capital, and ecosystem services. It is desirable that the candidate has a good understanding of the Water Framework Directive and Catchment Management. Knowledge of agriculture and wider land management would also be beneficial. The Woodland Delivery Officer will take the initiative in delivering woodland creation projects from final design through to delivery and as such the duties will include:
