WWF is looking for a Gender Specialist to support the Amazonian Indigenous Rights and Resources Project. This person can be based in Peru, Colombia or Brazil. The Amazonian Indigenous Rights and Resources Project will work across the Amazon Basin in Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Peru, and Suriname to improve representation of indigenous peoples in governance of Amazon forests and waters in the face of  the development of infrastructure and extraction of natural resources, so they may contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and prevention of land-based greenhouse gas emissions in and around their lands. USAID and WWF policy requires that gender issues be addressed in a fundamental way, and  integrated throughout the program and into specific activities as appropriate.
