Major functions/Background: For almost three decades, WWF has been a leading force for environmental protection and sustainable development in the Danube-Carpathian region of Central and Southeastern Europe. In recent years, the organization has increased its public engagement and begun individual fundraising programmes in Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, including both online and face-to-face. A recent strategic review has determined that there is significant untapped potential to generate additional, flexible resources and attract individual supporters for WWF’s mission in the “Green Heart of Europe”.
