The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through a grant from the German Government will be implementing a three year project to enhance conservation of the Selous ecosystem through the Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development Program (SECAD). The major objective of SECAD is to effectively protect and manage the natural resources of Selous Game Reserve and selected co-management zones in adjacent Districts while contributing to the maintenance of the ecological integrity of the Selous-Niassa Wildlife Corridor and the entire Selous Ecosystem.
