Conservation Careers Staff asked 4 years ago

I am a British Citizen presently live in London. I am interested in applying for a jobs in Conservation Field in UK. I completed my Ph.D. thesis entitled “Socioeconomic and Eco-environmental Assessment of Mangrove Ecosystem in Mahi and Dhadhar river Estuaries” in June 2014 from The M.S. University of Baroda. Beside this I am also a SSI’s Open Water Diver and attend a course on Basic GIS from NRSA.

Presently I am actively seeking job in marine conservation field. I also presented my work on Dependency on Mangrove in Student Conference on Conservation Science which was held in Cambridge from 25th to 27th March, 2014. To keep me more acceptable in the my future employer I have also completed Habitat Management, Phase 1 Habitat survey and Ecological Site Assessment And Report Writing courses. I was also gave voluntary service in the Ele Monitoring Project of Zoological Society of London.

I gained diverse working experience, during my seven years as a professional and over fifteen years of volunteering experience. As several of my past projects where I carried out a successful Marine EIA as a team member for the upcoming port of the Poshitra Reef and upcoming thermal power plant at Mundra, Kachchh (Gujarat) taught me how to carry out real time environment impact assessment. An experience that I gained during my last job, in which I am responsible to design and supervise the research project on People-Wildlife conflict, thought me how to deal with the Front line local population. I consider that I will also perform well in matters related to Client Satisfaction as I was also doing a liaison with funding agencies which I learned from Mangrove Restoration and Conservation Education Project. During my tenure with BNHS as Project Officer I gained experience working on design and execute fundamental research projects as well as conducting a variety of surveys. During that I was also supervising a team of volunteer and subordinate staff and was successfully achieved the set goals in Sea Turtle Conservation Project and Taxonomy of Mollusca Project.

I would be thankful if anyone can help in my job hunting.

Thank you and Wish you all a very happy new year.
