Officer, Outback to Oceans Australia
The Officer will be responsible for the terrestrial work of the Outback to Oceans Australia project in Queensland and ensure the successful delivery of that state’s terrestrial campaigns. With support from the project’s directors, the officer will develop strategies; build relationships as needed with a broad cross section of Queensland stakeholders, conservation organizations, industry, aboriginal groups, land holders and government officials; lead outreach and public communication efforts to support conservation in Queensland; manage project-related contractors and prepare financial plans and reports. In undertaking the above, the manager will report to the project director, terrestrial campaigns, Outback to Oceans Australia, and will work in close collaboration with the director, oceans and Western Australia to advance the goals of the Outback to Oceans Australia project. It is expected that this position is for a term period through September 30, 2017, with the strong possibility of an extension pending the continued success of the program, and future Pew board decisions. The Officer position will initially be a remote teleworking position until an office is established in Brisbane, Queensland.
