These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Conservation Careers Ltd website at https://www.conservation-careers.com (“Website”) and the purchase of any products or services we offer. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website.

1. Pricing and VAT

Courses and memberships: Prices for UK and EEA customers include VAT.

Coaching/consulting and job advertising: Prices are shown exclusive of VAT; VAT will be added at checkout or invoicing for UK and EEA customers.

For customers outside the UK and EEA, taxes may be applied according to the laws of your country and will be shown at checkout.

All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated.

We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect confirmed orders placed before the price change.
2. Purchases, Payments and Refunds
2.1 Payment methods
Payments are processed via trusted third-party payment processors (e.g. PayPal, Stripe). You must ensure your payment details are accurate and that you have the legal right to use the chosen payment method.
Where we issue invoices (e.g. for job advertising or coaching), payment terms are strictly 30 days from the invoice date.
2.2 Refunds and cancellations

Where a specific refund period is clearly stated at checkout (e.g. a 14-day guarantee on certain courses), we will honour it in full.

For all other purchases, no refunds are given.

Memberships: Free trials are offered before the first charge. You must cancel before the end of your trial to avoid billing. Once billed, membership fees are non-refundable. You may cancel any time, and access will continue until the end of the paid billing period (no pro-rata refunds).

Job advertising: Non-refundable once posting or processing has begun.

Coaching/consulting: Non-refundable once booked.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
3. Subscriptions and Renewals
3.1 Free trials
Where a membership subscription includes a free trial (e.g. 7 days), you must cancel before the end of your trial to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel in time, the first payment will be taken and is non-refundable.
3.2 Automatic renewals
Membership subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly, six-monthly or annually, as chosen at purchase) using the payment method on file.
We do not send renewal reminder emails; it is your responsibility to manage your subscription and cancel before renewal if you do not wish to continue.
3.3 Cancellation of subscriptions
You may cancel your membership at any time via your account on the Website.
When you cancel:

Access will continue until the end of your current paid billing period.

No pro-rata refunds will be given for unused time.
4. Accounts
When you create an account, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.

Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.

Keep your login details secure and not share them with others.
You are responsible for all activity on your account.
We may terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion if we believe you have breached these Terms.
You can close your account at any time via your account settings on the Website.
5. Content Rules
If you submit comments, reviews, job listings, course materials, images or any other content to our Website, you grant Conservation Careers Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and distribute that content for any lawful purpose.
You must ensure that your content:

Is not illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, violent, or otherwise inappropriate.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, you may also be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body or the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform, but this does not limit your right to bring proceedings in court.

Changes take effect immediately upon posting to the Website.
