Description

EDM International, Inc.’s Environmental Services team works across the United States and internationally to reduce wildlife interactions with power lines, improving safety, conservation, and regulatory compliance while helping prevent wildfires.

This Environmental Analyst position will initially provide support on existing projects, with the expectation of rapidly growing responsibility and independence as the individual develops technical skills and expands their professional network. The work is stimulating and rewarding, requiring a continual integration of information across disciplines, strong analytical and creative thinking, and clear communication in a wide range of contexts.


Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze power pole and field data related to wildlife electrocution risk.
  • Develop creative, data-driven solutions that improve reliability, compliance, and wildfire prevention.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and partners.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, including wildlife biology, engineering, and environmental science.
  • Support ongoing projects and take on increasing responsibility as your expertise grows.

Minimum Requirements

  • Background in wildlife biology, engineering, the power industry, or a related field.
  • M.S. degree or consulting experience.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative, adaptability, and curiosity.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for practical, real-world wildlife conservation.

Additional Notes

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt.
  • Travel: Up to 1 week per month.
  • Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
