Description

This role supports regulatory compliance across the company’s fleet, ensuring adherence to international maritime standards. The position works within the Marine QHSSE team to monitor regulations, advise stakeholders, and strengthen compliance systems that support safe and environmentally responsible vessel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with international maritime conventions including SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM, ISPS, and MLC
  • Monitor and interpret maritime regulations from flag and port authorities
  • Communicate regulatory requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to vessel crews and shore-based teams
  • Investigate non-conformities and regulatory deficiencies
  • Prepare reports and corrective action plans
  • Liaise with flag administrations, classification societies, and auditors
  • Maintain compliance documentation, manuals, and records
  • Support development and improvement of Safety Management Systems
  • Deliver compliance training and awareness programs

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nautical sciences or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Strong communication skills in English, Dutch, or French
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
