Description
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated develops advanced sensing and instrumentation technologies used across aerospace and defense, environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and oceanographic research. Teledyne RD Instruments (TRDI) is a global leader in Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) and Doppler Velocity Logs (DVLs), tools widely used by scientists, engineers, and researchers to measure and understand aquatic environments.
The Sales Manager for Oceanographic and Subsea Navigation Solutions supports global growth of TRDI’s product lines while working closely with internal sales teams and international customers. Based in Poway, California, the role combines technical sales leadership, market analysis, and customer engagement to expand adoption of oceanographic and subsea navigation technologies across emerging and established markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support global sales initiatives to meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
- Collaborate with regional sales directors to develop and implement strategic growth plans.
- Provide direct sales support to key customer accounts and participate in client visits.
- Guide the sales team in managing sales pipelines and generating leads using Salesforce.
- Analyze regional sales performance and identify opportunities for product line expansion.
- Support marketing campaigns, trade shows, and promotional activities.
- Deliver product training and technical coaching to the global sales team.
- Manage and mentor the Customer Service Administration team.
- Provide market feedback and customer insights to leadership.
- Contribute to business development planning and competitive analysis.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Five to seven years of directly related professional experience or training.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50 percent.
- Eligibility to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations as a U.S. Person under ITAR.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical sales experience in marine, subsea, or navigation industries.
- Field application or technical advisory experience with oceanographic instrumentation or underwater navigation systems.
