Description

Mercator Ocean International advances operational oceanography to support ocean sustainability, climate resilience, and marine research. The organization develops real-time ocean monitoring and forecasting systems used by governments, industries, and researchers.

This role supports organizational operations by managing facilities, coordinating business travel, and improving workplace systems. The position contributes to service quality, resource optimization, and environmental initiatives within an international scientific environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office operations, facilities, and support services
  • Oversee maintenance activities and external service providers
  • Manage contracts in compliance with regulations
  • Develop and implement corporate travel policies
  • Coordinate business travel for staff and visitors
  • Manage travel service providers and booking systems
  • Ensure travel safety and risk management procedures
  • Monitor service quality and employee satisfaction metrics
  • Conduct benchmarking and implement process improvements
  • Support environmental initiatives including mobility and resource use
  • Contribute to organizational development activities as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in organizational management, facility management, or business administration
  • At least seven years of experience in facilities and travel management
  • Experience managing teams and external providers
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with travel booking tools and ERP systems
  • Fluency in French and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Knowledge of additional languages
