Utah’s Hogle Zoo is looking for employees who are passionate about preserving the natural world, conservation, are resourceful, communicate respectfully, and take our mission to heart. Every position, from cashier to keeper, helps to create champions for wildlife.

Hogle Zoo is a loved and trusted part of the community for over 90 years. We are located in Salt Lake City and are nestled at the mouth of Emigration Canyon. Our property spans over 42 acres of hillside terrain and is home to a wide variety of resident animals.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers assist keepers in providing the highest level of animal wellbeing and supporting zoo programs that inspire conservation action through guest education, adventure, and life experiences. Hogle Zoo strives to provide inclusive service opportunities that promote wildlife stewardship while fostering worthwhile, purposeful experiences for our volunteers.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Our internships have been developed to give interns a realistic, educational experience in areas related to their College major of study and anticipated career path. Interns will receive support from industry professionals that understand the importance of hands-on, educational opportunities for aspiring zoo professionals. Internships are designed for current college students who have completed sophomore year or who have recently graduated from an accredited college or university.
