ABWAK is able to grant small amounts of funds to its members to assist directly in the furtherance of the association's objectives in husbandry, welfare, conservation and education. Please complete the grants form. Applications are welcome from professional and associate members who meet any of the following criteria (Zoo keepers in British or Irish Zoos are particularly encouraged to apply):
  • Any captive-based husbandry or enrichment project designed to increase knowledge of awareness of factors relevant to the management of captive exotics; particularly Red Data Book/CITES listed taxa.
  • Projects that support improvements in husbandry, husbandry techniques and welfare of animals.
