Description

This role contributes to a national programme supporting museums across the UK to enhance outdoor spaces for biodiversity and community engagement. The position focuses on habitat mapping, community science initiatives, and training partners to deliver nature-focused projects using digital tools and collaborative approaches.
Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration with partner museums and communities on habitat mapping projects
- Support biodiversity exploration and co-design of environmental enhancements
- Develop and adapt programme resources and digital tools
- Deliver training and capacity-building in community science approaches
- Provide ongoing guidance to partners implementing projects
- Collaborate with internal teams, regional partners, and GIS specialists
- Support national programme scaling and development
- Contribute to professional development offerings for museum partners
Minimum Requirements
- Background in natural sciences or equivalent experience
- Experience in community or citizen science initiatives
- Experience designing and delivering projects, training, or resources
- Strong communication and engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Additional Notes
- Fixed-term, part-time position based in South Kensington, London
- 18 hours per week
- Requires regular on-site work despite hybrid framework
