An internationally established, award-winning environmental consultancy are currently in the market to expand their Cambridgeshire team. Our client has been going through a period of restructuring recently, meaning a few Ecologists from the Cambridgeshire team have been relocated. In response to this, our client is looking to add quality to their Cambridge based office in the form of an experienced Consultant Grade Ecologist.

The Role: 

Primary duties of the new Consultant Ecologist will be to deliver ecological consultancy to public and private sector clients across Cambridgeshire and the greater East Anglia region. You will be given the opportunity to work on major projects on a more national scale with neighbouring ecology teams in the South West and Midlands. You will lead teams of surveyors on-site and carry out desk studies including data management, analysis and report writing.

Job Specification: 

Successful applicants will hold the following:

  1. 2-4 years’ ecological consultancy experience
  2. Experience undertaking protected species and botanical surveys
  3. Possession of at least one protected species licence
  4. CIEEM membership
  5. Report writing experience
  6. Full, UK driving licence
  7. First class written and verbal communication skills

Salary – £22,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
