Ecologist (Level 3) (EMEC)

Jobs (Early Career) Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Nottingham, United Kingdom Posted January 1, 2026
We're looking for an enthusiastic ecologist to join our ecology consultancy team at EMEC.

EMEC is a growing business, with project delivery across the East Midlands and beyond. We have an exciting opportunity for an ecologist to join our experienced and friendly ecology team.

Projects range in scale from large national delivery to small scale surveys. There’ll be opportunities to work with clients that really want to make a positive impact, and you can deliver everything from PEA’s, protect species surveys to inputting on large scale strategic plans and developments.

You’ll be someone who wants to make a difference and help nature’s recovery. You’ll have a solid grasp of ecological surveying and reporting. Lots of passion is a must. In return, we ensure that our Ecologists have many opportunities to deliver a diverse range of projects, to gain experience and knowledge to develop your skills.

Let’s be honest, not all ecological consultancies are the same. We want to do the very best for nature and ALL of our profits are gift-aided to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to support conservation directly on the ground.
