Based in central Missouri (Columbia area)

multi-day work trips around the state will be required, depending on the location of each project (travel expenses are covered)

Required

• Ability/desire to work all day in sometimes thick forested environments in all weather conditions
• Ability to drive to a local meeting place (typically the crew supervisor’s home) or a job site as needed
• Ability to work on sometimes steep and uneven terrain on a daily basis

Preferred

• Working knowledge of tree and shrub identification in the Central Hardwoods
• Education in Forestry or related fields

Job Duties / Types of Projects

This position will primarily consist of forest invasive species control, mostly by foliar treatment with backpack sprayers

• Forest Stand Improvement, both by chainsaw and hack & squirt
• Timber Sale marking and sale oversight
• Forest Inventory
