Position Summary
To perform work in the maintenance of New York City Zoos buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventive maintenance
• Repair, renovation and alteration of buildings, offices, exhibits, enclosures, pathways, benches, equipment, structures, roofs, gutters and other facilities.
• Perform specialized work, shop work, metalwork, cement work, woodwork, stonework, painting, electrical, plumbing and HVAC utilizing all skills necessary to complete such assignments
• Operate vehicle or other equipment
• Display proficiency and skills in use of tools associated with applicable fields
• Keep record and prepare reports on work performed and materials used
