We’re looking for volunteer Conservation Careers Bloggers (CC Bloggers) to share careers advice with our global community of conservationists, ecologists and sustainability professionals!
We have multiple volunteer (unpaid) roles, based anywhere with an internet connection. The time commitment is flexible, and in return you’ll have the opportunity to interview professionals from across the globe, have your work published and promoted widely, receive training and support, and more.

About the role
As a CC Blogger your role is to provide accurate, honest and useful careers advice for people who wish to work in wildlife conservation.
You’ll do this primarily by interviewing professional conservationists about their work, and collating advice which others can follow. You can read examples of interviews on our Careers Advice Blog.
Our blog gets very well read and shared, with nearly 400,000 annual pageviews. As an author you get your name, photo and bio on every story you write.
We also share each post on all relevant social media platforms, with a potential audience of over 240,000 followers:

Since 2020, we’ve increased our focus on supporting diversity, equity and inclusion in the conservation sector, including through our Celebrating Diversity in Conservation initiative. We are particularly interested in interviews with conservationists from underrepresented countries.

About you
We’re seeking talented writers and aspiring communicators who are passionate about wildlife conservation, ecology and/or sustainability and want to help others enjoy meaningful, impactful careers.
Essential:
- A passion for wildlife conservation, ecology and/or sustainability.
- A thirst for knowledge, and ability to use your own initiative to research potential interviews.
- An ability to write clearly, succinctly and creatively for an international online audience in English.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to represent Conservation Careers, Ecology Jobs and/or Sustainability Job and communicate positively, politely and professionally.
- Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to supporting fellow bloggers.
- A commitment to publishing two pieces within 3 months of joining.
Highly valued:
- Experience in journalism, science communication, blogging, writing, editing or similar.
- An interest in interviewing conservation professionals from underrepresented countries.

Location: Anywhere! (home-based)
Commitment: This role is very flexible, however we're looking for people who are ready to get started right away and can commit to submitting 2 articles in your first three months (more are welcome!)
Start date: ASAP
Trial period: 3 months
