Berney Marshes and Breydon Water lies in the heart of the Norfolk Broads and is renowned for a focus on management of lowland wet grassland to provide high quality conditions for breeding waders and wintering waterfowl. We have a progressive approach where we work closely with neighbouring landowners under the banner of the Broads Futurescape project looking to realise conservation gain at a landscape scale. We also work closely with the RSPB Centre for Conservation Science and Reserves Ecology to develop our knowledge to benefit breeding birds. All of this within the huge open skies, tens of thousands of wintering waterfowl and high concentrations of breeding waders which can be found within the Broads landscape.
