Position runs from early December 2015 to the end of February 2016. Field assistant will work with State Wildlife Biologists and Louisiana Tech University faculty on a research project investigating the winter ecology of Henslow’s Sparrows, a threatened species, in Louisiana. Research is based in Vernon Unit of the Kisatchie National Forest in Southwest Louisiana and Lake Ramsey Wildlife Management Area, north of Lake Ponchartrain. Duties will include assisting with banding, measuring, and radio-tracking of adult sparrows.
