Overview

Salary – £30,482 – £33,288 per annum

Contract Term – This is an externally funded post (Heritage Lottery Fund) which is offered on a fixed-term basis for five years from 5 February 2018.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Creating prototypes and tools to support the biological recording community to increase their skills and knowledge and to share better with each other e.g.

1. signposting tools for resources and information,

2. matching volunteer mentors and mentees skills,

3. online portals for making biological records and photo sharing tools

4. multi access keys

5. wider knowledge base sharing to increase natural history observations and capture and use serendipitous connections

  • Developing, leading and delivering training to volunteers on tools and resources such as multi access keys, GIS, videos and online training content
  • Leading on digital communications and technology for the project, closely liaising with FSC marketing and communications teams. This will include web development work.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in the administration and management of events
  • Working closely with the BioLinks team and FSC Biodiversity Learning Manager to develop products, resources and digital responses to evolving needs
  • Working closely with FSC Biodiversity and FSC administration to support the development of training course bookings systems which work within current FSC systems
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be required to ensure the promotion of the FSC’s biodiversity initiative
