The Southeast Asia Group will subsume Country Group 1 and expand geographically to include strategic countries part of both Mekong subregion and maritime Southeast Asia.

The SDC-funded Community-led Coastal Management in the Gulf of Mottama (GOM) Project is implemented by a consortium led by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation with Network Activities Group (NAG), a local Myanmar NGO, and IUCN.

The project has three outcomes:

• Outcome 1: Benefits of sustainable fisheries management in the GOM are shared through effective value chains and equitable market access.
• Outcome 2: Vulnerable coastal communities have increased income and resilience through livelihood diversification and improved access to non-fisheries resources.
