The Hawaiian Monk Seal (HMS) Response Manager/Animal Care Specialist is the primary contact for HMS response volunteers of West Hawaii, Hawaii Island. This role provides communication, administration, coordination and training of volunteers at The Marine Mammal Center’s Ke Kai Ola facility, which will strengthen animal handling that can be applied in the field. This role will provide consistent support to the response team, including modeling, and leading and equipping volunteers to effectively fulfill their role as KKO and HMS ambassadors throughout the community. This position reports to the HMS Hospital Operations Manager at TMMC’s Ke Kai Ola facility located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
