Job Purpose To carry out and promote regulatory, plant health and legacy grant scheme work so that the forestry and woodland sector within Wales delivers sustainable woodland management in line with the Woodlands for Wales Strategy, the UK Forest Standard and UKFS Guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Able to make well-reasoned decisions quickly and provide unambiguous feedback, including justification for your decision and the action you require.
Delivering results
  • Assess felling licence applications within specified deadlines ensuring the proposals comply with regulations and meet the UK Forest Standard and UKFS Guidelines which will include deep peat and acid sensitive catchment assessments. 90% of licences must be issued
