The University of Cambridge’s Department of Geography is looking for an outstanding administrator for CCI’s groundbreaking Masters in Conservation Leadership

The post holder will work in the University of Cambridge, and be based in the Department of Geography, to work with the Director of Conservation Leadership to help the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) to build its Conservation Learning and Leadership (CLL) activities. CCI is a new model within the University with collaborative relationships between six different university departments and nine conservation organisations based in and around Cambridge. The purpose of this role is to provide full administrative support in the organisation and running of CLL activities and to participate in promoting further expansion of these activities. The post involves co-ordinating CLL activities with a focus on the MPhil in Conservation Leadership, managing resources and working closely with the Director and Lecturer of Conservation Leadership, and other relevant staff in the Department of Geography, and in the CCI, in the planning and implementation of CLL initiatives, programmes and activities.

We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent communications skills (both orally and written) and good organisation skills, being able to prioritise their own workload and to work on their own initiative. Previous administrative experience in a similar role is essential, preferably in an educational environment, as is proven competence. Experience is essential in maintaining or updating websites coupled with an ability to produce attractive promotional material. Excellent IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) are essential and the successful candidate should have a good education to degree level and have an interest in conservation.
