Supervises and schedules work for salaried and hourly employees to carry out a combination of technical and general activities assigned by the supervising forester. Compiles records, reports and project invoices for forwarding to the offices. Monitors quality of work and progress of subordinates and contractors. Assists in establishing general work priorities and participates in annual work planning and budgeting. Implements technical forestry activities on state or private land, i.e., boundary, survey/marking, timber marking, timber inventory, administering harvest operations, conducting and/or monitoring contracts for timber stand improvements, invasive plant control, stand regeneration and tree planting.
