The Spatial Ecologist provides technical and scientific support and leadership for conservation initiatives. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Spatial Ecologist works in coordination with the Eastern Division Conservation Team and other Conservancy staff to develop and implement spatially-based conservation projects, and will include a heavy emphasis on marine analysis, but may also include freshwater and terrestrial projects.  S/he manages and maintains conservation databases and provides technical support, analysis and ecological modeling using GIS and other relational database technologies, project design and execution, application development, technical writing and documentation, training and technical support at site, landscape, and regional scales.
