The participant will mainly be working within McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area and Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area in Western Colorado, as well as on surrounding public lands. The participant may work closely with the NCA Ecologist, other BLM specialists (including but not limited to hydrologist, wildlife biologist, range specialist, weeds specialist, archeologist), as well as independently. The participant will assist in rare plant inventory and ecological monitoring including vegetation, soils, and photos. Navigation with GPS and maps is required, 4 wheel drive is required, river trips and overnight camping may be required.
