The Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust (WVRPT) was established in 2013 to provide the vision, leadership, co-ordination and resources to create a new regional park along the River Wandle in South London over the next ten years. The Get Active Wandle Valley programme is funded through the Sport England Community Sport Activation Fund. This unique project has brought together partners from four local authority areas as well as the National Trust, with representation from both leisure and public health sectors to deliver a 3-year programme focusing on parks and public health from January 2016 – December 2018.
