The candidate enrolled in the postgraduate program “Biology and Ecology with Nature Conservation” will acquire knowledge, working methods and skills to analyze complex systems in biology, from the molecular and cellular level to the level of populations, habitats, ecosystems and biomes.

The basic goals of the study program are to provide the student with modern methods of scientific research work in biology, ecology and nature science, to include him in the research activity of research and program groups and to familiarize him with the complexity of biotic systems. These objectives are in line with the training needs of the candidate to independently solve research problems and apply biological knowledge in practice. Such trained professionals will be able to make a significant contribution to the proper assessment of the effects of environmental interventions, the evaluation of the biodiversity of a particular area, the care of a healthy natural and health-friendly working and living environment, the study and control of plant and other pests, etc. The stated goals are therefore in line with current social needs dictated by integration into the European area,
