The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) is seeking a full-time college-level or graduate-level Environmental Education Intern for Fall 2023. The intern will support the implementation of educational programs for K-12 schools coming for field trips, teacher professional development, and animal care.

A mutually agreeable start date will be determined with the selected applicant. We anticipate a start date in September 2023. This will be an in-person internship with work taking place in Edgewater, Maryland.

The intern will work with the SERC Education and Public Engagement teams to help deliver educational programs to K-12 students. This will involve delivering content about the Chesapeake Bay and SERC research. Other duties
