In cooperation with the National Park Service and Capitol Reef National Park (CARE), the Great Basin Institute is recruiting two Horticulture Interpretation Technicians to join our Research Associate program. The technicians will support the CARE Division of Resource Management & Science, and will assist the horticulturist and resource management staff with historic orchard management in the Fruita Rural Historic District within the Park. The technician will receive daily oversight and guidance from CARE’s horticulturist and orchard managers. Hands-on orchard management duties will consist of winter season fruit tree pruning alongside staff and other seasonal employees from November to March.
