Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, is one of the finest collections of temperate trees in the world. Its 600 acres is recognised as a Grade 1 landscape of national importance and includes ancient woodland and semi-natural grassland. Since 1956 it has been managed by the Forestry Commission (operating as Forestry England) to meet our mission 'to connect people with trees to improve the quality of life'. Our future vision is to be ‘a world leader in trees, inspiring people through education conservation, education and participation’.
