Position Description: Under the umbrella of the Lilongwe Wildlife Trust (LWT), the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre (LWC) is the only wildlife rescue, conservation and education centre in Malawi. We have permanently more than 200 rescued animals in our care including different species of primates, antelopes, carnivores, reptiles and birds. New arrivals are coming in every week, mainly from illegal wildlife trade. In partnership with the local authorities LWC works hard to address this illegal trade through campaigns, workshops and law enforcement. It is the policy of the LWC to, whenever suitable, release animals back into the wild in a protected area within Malawi.
