Reports to: Curator of Mammals and Curator of Behavioral Husbandry and ResearchSchedule: 5 days per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMAugust-December 2015Application Deadline: July 12, 2015Internship Overview:This internship is designed for college students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in zoo keeping, animal behavior, or primatology. This position will be shared between the Primate/Small Mammal and Animal Behavior departments. The intern will work directly with the primate keepers to assist with daily cleaning and general husbandry during part of the day, and with the Curator of Behavioral Husbandry and Research to develop enrichment for primates, cheetahs and otters, and conduct behavioral research on the primate collection.
